For the promotion of Italian language and culture
The Dante Alighieri Society of British Columbia does not receive any funding from the Italian, Canadian or Provincial governments;
it relies on the funds from your membership to carry out its mission to promote the Italian language
and culture here in Vancouver.
If you believe that this is a worthy cause, please support us by keeping your membership up to date.
Your membership fee helps the volunteers to promote the language courses of the Dante Italian Language
School, to maintain the website, to carry out the various administrative duties of the Society, to communicate
with members with regard to upcoming events, and to organize a modest slate of cultural events.
Membership of the Dante Society gives right to
- be included in La Dante's mailing list (with news of upcoming events, courses and cultural initiatives)
- have free access to La Dante's cultural events (usual entry fee: 8-10 dollars)
- receive a 5% discount on the language and culture courses organized by the Dante Italian Language School
- receive up to 10-15% discounts on museum entrance fees, theatre tickets, hotel reservations, and bookstores in major Italian cities and in other cities worldwide (see the main members' discounts in Italy here. See all the members' discounts worldwide here).
The current annual membership fee is $30. Memberships are valid for one calendar year.
