In 2009, The Dante Alighieri Society has been nominated Literary Presidium by the Fondazione Maria e Goffredo Bellonci, with the aim of sharing Italian contemporary literature internationally.

As a Literary Presidium of the Strega Prize, the literary group of the Dante Society of BC takes part in the Dante Society's activities for the promotion of the Italian literature in the world, and can express its preference for one of the listed books being awarded the upcoming Strega Prize edition.

Thanks to the new project, #LaDantealPremioStrega, there has been an increase in the amount of readers, in the last year. There was also a total of 270 voters from 25 Literary Presidium from all over the world.

The Dante Society of BC, being now part of the voting committee, will express its vote for the 2021 edition thanks to our avid readers.
