Course Description
This course introduces students to Italian language and culture through the voices of some of Italy’s most important writers. Each class focuses on one author, with texts chosen from Camilleri, Ferrante, Baricco, Calvino, Moravia, Dante, Deledda, and Morante, selected together with the teacher based on students’ interests and preferences.
Through guided reading and discussion, students explore how language, history, and imagination shape Italian literature, while gradually improving their comprehension and expressive skills. The course offers a flexible and engaging approach, where literature becomes a living tool to learn Italian in a meaningful and immersive way.
