Volunteer Treasurer Opportunity (Board Role)

The Dante Alighieri Society of BC is seeking a skilled and committed Treasurer (Volunteer) to join its Board of Directors. This is an opportunity to contribute your financial expertise while supporting a respected organization dedicated to promoting Italian language, culture, and community across British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow

• Present financial updates to the Board and membership

• Lead the annual budgeting and financial planning process

• Ensure compliance with financial and governance requirements

• Support fundraising initiatives and organizational planning

  
  

Qualifications

• Background in finance, accounting, or business (CPA preferred)

• Experience with budgeting, reporting, and financial controls

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to clearly communicate financial information

• Interest in cultural and community-based initiatives

CommitmentThis is a volunteer Board position requiring attendance at regular meetings and periodic involvement in key financial cycles and events.
