About the Event
Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, the best known of all poems written in the Italian language 700 years ago, takes us on a spiritual journey from a ghastly dark forest to the blissful light of a cosmic embrace, from exile to reintegration, from wretchedness to joy.
The Dante Society of BC in collaboration with The Consulate General of Italy in Vancouver invites you to this free 4-episode webinar held by Prof. Daniela Boccassini.
4 MONDAYS from 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm (Pacific Time):
- December 7, 2020: Dante's life & his source of inspiration, Beatrice
- December 14, 2020: The Divine Comedy - Inferno
- December 21, 2020: The Divine Comedy - Purgatorio
- December 28, 2020: The Divine Comedy - Paradiso
An expert on Dante and the medieval world, Dr. Daniela Boccassini teaches in the Italian program at UBC. She is also one of the directors of the Jung Society of Vancouver. For more info: fhis.ubc.ca/people/daniela-boccassini/
